Just a bit early I think. May apples are popping up but no apples yet. No Jack in the Pulpits either. Hope to see them next time.
Then I sat on the rotted log bench and broke it. Thanks Tajenay and Bo for helping me search.
Tajenay found a skull and a few bones. We think raccoon or opossum.
Lots of dead Elm too and this pine home to some wood peckers. I hope the dead Elms mean morels some day.
